Morning March 12 to Evening March 18, 2268 & ED Year 5 Day 354 to ED Year 6 Day 6.

Alex’s time in reality seemed surreal to him when compared to the issues he had to constantly deal with in ED, as every session seemed to have another meeting for him to attend, or read a summary of. To say that he was able to relax during this time would have been a lie, especially as Xeal played with Ahsa and Moyra as it made him think of his other children. All four of them were two and his time with them was even more limited than what he had to give to his two daughters in reality. Alex was just grateful for the clerics of Eileithyia that were constantly acting as their caregivers while he and their mothers were busy, even if he wished it wasn’t necessary.

Still, Alex made sure to keep up with his time in aikido, kendo and swing dancing as they had become almost meditative to him. During the morning lessons, he could simply focus on the motions of the discipline while letting nothing else enter his mind as he let the rest of the world fall away. Thankfully, all those around Alex had taken notice of this change in his mentality and understood the why. So, other than Sam, Nicole and Kate accompanying him, Ava and Mia to their week 34 OB-GYN appointment on Friday the 13th, they gave him his space. Beyond that, they simply enjoyed having their hour each that week where his attention was focused on them as they chose relaxing activities like soaking in a tub, or just cuddling.

Alex didn’t even pay attention to the details of the sixth presentation at his old high school, or the fact that Kate had worked out the details for Nicole’s younger sister Alyssa to come to live with them. Though it seemed that finding a few friends to do the same was causing issues and instead, Kate had shifted to looking at any extended family who would make sense to invite out to help care for the new babies. Alex’s grandparents had been easy to convince to come out for the first few months, but they were also at the point in life where they didn’t like bending over too much. Add in that they were likely to have issues keeping up with them once they became more mobile and it was clear that they would not be a good long-term solution. Though they were all due to fly in on the 20th to be on hand for the last bit of Ava’s and Mia’s pregnancies, as Doctors Avery and Lunt had warned that the way things were looking, that they would be surprised if they made it to week 38. This also prompted them to move the baby shower up to the 22nd, as Ava and Mia were ecstatic to hear that they would soon have their bodies back to themselves.
